Levant, Newport - Familiar faces in Bangor, like TV 5's Wayne Harvey and Todd Simcox, had their shirts stuffed with dozens of eggs.
Then, they hopped on their snowmobiles for a squishy trip to Newport.
With very little snow on the ground, they had to improvise.
"Well, this will be the second year in a row, and it think the third since I've been doing it, that we've had to ride on the trailer. So, we put the, on the back of trailers and we have a couple people haul the trailers for us. I mean, we still do the same thing, we suit up in the eggs, we got everything, we wear the eggs like we always would. Unfortunately, there's no snow so we ride on the bag of the trailers," said Simcox.
It's the 22nd year of the egg ride and It's all for a good cause. The event is part of the 40th Annual Snowmobile Ride-In to benefit the Pine Tree Camp.
"Approximately 650 children and adults down our camp road, for an extraordinaire residential camping experience. It's a wonderful opportunity for physical and development disabilities to enjoy summer activities that they might not be able to enjoy," said Executive Director, Anne Marsh.
In honor of the event's 40th anniversary, a goal of $40,000 was set. After the ride, they had raised nearly $55,000, making this year the best to date.
"It makes me feel happy that people appreciate what we're doing and everything," said camper Nicholas Alexander.
