Wunderlist 2 Brings Recurring Items, Shared To-Dos, Notifications, and Much More to Our Favorite To-Do App

Wunderlist 2 Brings Recurring Items, Shared To-Dos, Notifications, and Much More to Our Favorite To-Do AppWunderlist 2 Brings Recurring Items, Shared To-Dos, Notifications, and Much More to Our Favorite To-Do App Windows/OS X/Android/iOS/Web: Wunderlist is our favorite to-do list manager for just about every platform, and Wunderlist 2 is a major uplift that adds a ton of new features like shared tasks, projects, and push notifications. The update also rolls in features and improvements we've been waiting for, like sub-tasks, recurring to-dos, and more.

Among some of the new features you'll see in Wunderlist 2 are the ability to collaborate and share to-dos with friends and family, and an "activity center" where you can see what needs to be done now and who's doing it. Wunderlist 2 takes a few cues from Wunderkit, a service I love (but is sadly being discontinued,) and makes it easy to invite friends and family to help you with shared to-dos or work on group projects. You can also separate those group projects from your personal ones, or let Wunderlist build "smart lists" and organize them for you.

Wunderlist 2 also brings in some welcome features that we were missing from the last version of the app. Recurring tasks, sub-tasks, and dependencies are all available now, and are easy to configure on your phone or on the desktop. You also get automatic email reminders and push notifications on your phone that you have an item due so you don't have to keep checking the app. All versions of the app sync with the cloud automatically, and if you're already using Wunderkit, your to-dos will be migrated to the new app for you when you download it and sign in.

We've been testing Wunderkit 2 for a few weeks, and so far it's a huge and worthy improvement to the original app. We still wish you could assign priorities to specific to-dos (right now you can star them, but that's it,) and it still faces stiff competition for other great apps we love, like Astrid and Any.Do. Still, the new features and overhauled UI make it worth another look if you passed it over before. It's still completely free, and available now. Hit the link below to grab it for your favorite platform.
